BMW iNEXT Testing Continues

BMW iNEXT has passed the next stage of development, namely testing in hot climatic conditions. In the previous test, iNEXT went through the Northern expanses of the Arctic circle, and now runs sandy trails in the Kalahari desert. The car will be tested at the Miramas (France), Nürburgring (Germany) and Arjeplog (Sweden) race tracks in order to form the final series and identify strengths and weaknesses in conditions that will result in adaptive updates.

Thanks to high-speed operation, when stopping and driving, extreme temperatures below and above zero, tests on ice and snow, as well as on sand and gravel in the desert, pre-production cars in a concentrated form cope with all the tasks that a car may face in everyday traffic for many years.

Production of the the production version of the BMW iNEXT will begin at the BMW Dingolfing plant in 2021.
